Requirements
A
candidate for an undergraduate degree is expected to fulfill the
requirements for graduation stated in the university bulletin at
the time of admission or readmission to Capital University. The
general requirements for a baccalaureate degree are:

Completion
To be eligible for a degree the student must fulfill each of the
following:
- complete
application for graduation at the time specified by the university
registrar but no later than one semester prior to the date of
expected graduation;
- have
met or be registered for all remaining requirements (both for
the major(s) and the University Core) for the degree in the
final semester;
- have
no incompletes on the academic record;
- have
the sufficient number of semester hours at the time of graduation
and at least a minimum of a 2.00 for both the cumulative and
major* grade point average at the time of graduation.
*(Note: Minimum grade point average requirement may vary for
specific majors.)
- Only
students who have met all academic requirements of the university
will be eligible for graduation. All financial obligations to
the university must be cleared before a student can receive
the diploma.
- have
completed all university assessment measures as specified by
the Center for Academic Achievement. This includes, but is not
necessarily limited to, the assessment battery administered
to entering freshmen and other measures as may be administered
to students during their sophomore and senior years.
